The London Organising Committee 2012 (LOCOG) today confirmed that 2.3 million tickets will be available in the second round of the London 2012 Olympic ticket sales, which is open to 1.9 million people who applied in Round initial.
LOCOG also confirmed that over a million extra tickets will go on sale to the British public from December 2011, the note issues of contingency and the returns of the customer groups.
There will be two windows on the second selling opportunity: the first will open at 6 am on June 24 and runs through July 3 18:00 and is open only to people who applied in the initial implementation phase, but were allocated tickets.
The next window that is open to persons who received some or all of the requested tickets in the first round of sales, will open at 6 am on July 8 and runs through July 17 18:00.
Second, the timing of sales of tickets for sale on a range of price categories and a wide range of sports. Tickets are still available in 311 sessions, including 44 events of medals, archery, athletics, hiking, basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, Sprint canoeing, mountain biking, Training, Football Fencing, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Rowing, Sailing, synchronized swimming, taekwondo, table tennis, volleyball, wrestling and weightlifting.
In total, 1.5 million tickets will be priced at 50 pounds or less and more than half a million of these tickets will cost 20 pounds or less. Sixty sessions with special prices are still available - 33 are in football, and 27 are in other sports. People can request a maximum of three sessions and six tickets per session for most sports (football, volleyball and more career will hike limits).
LOCOG has today published a detailed list of sports sessions and price categories are still available.
Unlike the first round of sales, the second round will use a first-come, first-served allocation system. Applicants will be notified if your ticket application has been successful between 24 and 48 hours after the request. Payment will be made after the 10 day process over a period of four days - and applicants will be notified that the ticket transaction is completed.
LOCOG Chairman Sebastian Coe said: "We recognize the great demand for tickets has led to many sports fans were disappointed at not getting tickets in the initial application. That's why we are giving priority in particular in the second round, and give them the first choice of tickets available.
"There are over 2 million Olympic tickets on offer in a wide price range and our goal is to get these in the hands of many of the original applicants to the Games as possible. Today we are publishing information about the sale the second round so people have time to plan before the sale of its launch on June 24. "
