Volunteering is an excellent way to make a difference in your community. Whether you're looking to help out for a few hours at the weekend or make a major contribution, there are a number of ways to get involved. Here are a few examples of the types of volunteering available in the community.

The London Ambassadors programme is recruiting volunteers to be 8000 stationed in key areas around the city including transport hubs, event venues and popular tourist spots. Ambassadors will provide information on where to go, what to see and how to get around London.

Volunteers ' Week is an annual event which aims to raise awareness and celebrate the monumental contribution that volunteers make in the UK every year. As well As raising the profile of millions of regular contributors, Volunteers ' Week hopes to inspire a new generation to get involved andmake a difference. This year's events will take place between 1-7 June.
